Gay-friendly Thousand Trails Yosemite Lakes Resort | Review

Thousand Trails Yosemite Lakes Resort gay-friendly. The Yosemite National Park in California was one of our top highlights we planned for our four weeks road trip around the South West of the United States of America. Looking for a unique glamping accommodation located very close or even in the middle of nature, we found the Yosemite Lakes Resort just a five minutes drive away from the West entrance of Yosemite National Park. The resort includes Yurts, cottages, tents and space for trailers nestled in a valley along a river. We stayed in the Yurt village located on the top of the Northern side of the valley. Yurt number 11 was our glamping home for 4 nights, which offers the best view over the valley and the forest area surrounding the tent-like accommodation. A parking space for our car was right in front the Yurt and so was a space for barbecue. If you are looking for a gay-friendly (glamping) place to stay in nature and close to the Yosemite National Park West entrance combining the back-to-nature feeling with a pinch of luxury and adventure, the Yurts of Yosemite Lakes Resorts are a great choice. Enjoy our review story, travel photos and tips for your gay travels to Yosemite and see the Yurts through a couple of men’s eyes.

Kumagaiji Buddhist Temple Lodging: Review of our Stay in Koyasan | Japan

Our stay at Kumagaiji Buddhist Temple Lodging Koyasan Japan. One of our highlights and on top of our bucket list for our Japan Travels was without any doubt our two-nights stay at a Buddhist monastery in the mountains of Mount Koya in the South of Osaka. Already the way up on the mountain plateau with a cable car was stunning. But the 120 temples, the graveyards and temple lodgings around Koyasan were just breathtaking. Don’t miss the chance during a trip into the Wakayama Mountains to visit Japanese Buddhist center Koyasan (Kōya-san) and be brave enough to sleep on the ground on a rice mat, get up at 6 in the morning by the singing of Buddhist monks and taste the tofu and vegetable breakfast and dinner freshly self-made by the monks and monks in training. The calm nature surroundings and the moments of peace are worth every exertion. Enjoy our review of our stay at Kumagaiji Buddhist temple lodge in Koyasan.

Our Architectural Adventure at Nakagin Capsule Tower Tokyo

Nights to remember at Nakagin Capsule Tower Tokyo Japan. Our first trip to Japan started impressive, different and somehow adventurous. We didn’t choose a hotel for our first nights in Tokyo. Instead, we used a unique and rare Airbnb offer to stay in an architectural icon, the world famous Nakagin Capsule Tower. Designed by the architect Kisho Kurokawa, the capsule tower as a compilation of living 140 living cubes is a remarkable building of the Japanese Metabolism finished in 1972. The building is located right in the center of one of the financial districts of the Japanese capital Tokyo, Shimbashi. But the world keeps on running while this architectural landmark is threatened by the danger of deterioration. Since most of the capsules are abandoned, leaking rain water, rust, and cold no one can estimate for sure how long this remarkable construction in Tokyo, Japan will be open for a visit. Nevertheless, our stay was very interesting and special to us. It is especially for fans of unique architecture a most do on their Japan bucket list. Enjoy our photo story of a gay couple stay in the world famous Nakagin Capsule Tower in Tokyo, Japan and see the towers through a couple of men’s eyes.

Gay-owned Karnelund Krog & Rum – our gay couple hotel and restaurant review. Close your eyes and imagine yourself on a Swedish farm with apple trees full of juice apples surrounded by a wide golden cornfield. That is how we can describe the Scania landscape and that’s where we spent our last night. But not just somewhere. Hip & Modern: Design Hotel The Vault in Helsingborg

SWEDEN: Review of The Vault Hotel in Helsingborg. The next stop on our South Swedish road trip after Mölle was the harbor town Helsingborg. The second biggest city of Scania (Skåne) is known for its beautiful old town, the ferry connection over the Øresund to Denmark and is, in fact, an important industrial location. We arrived in Helsingborg in the early afternoon checking-in at The Vault Hotel just around the corner from Helsingborg’s City Hall.
