The Willow Los Angeles Hollywood California gay-friendly – It was not easy to find the right accommodation around Los Angeles and Hollywood since many Hotels are available around Hollywood and L.A., but we managed to find this beautiful apartment in a quiet area in between both cities in California, USA. The view out of apartment number 5 was simply beautiful for the morning coffee and the nights have been calm on a comfortable mattress under starlight.
It was just a 15-minute ride by car to the well-known gay area of West Hollywood. Choosing the right dinner location and the bars for drinks with other gay men was easy. Within just 20 minutes (depending on traffic on the highway, of course) by car, we left the highway for Downtown Los Angeles. In a word, we couldn’t have stayed in a better, gay-friendly place for four nights during our 1-month holiday on our Road Trip to South West USA. Enjoy our review of the Gay-friendly The Willow West Hollywood Los Angeles through a couple of men‘s eyes.
The Willow West Hollywood – California
It took us a while to find the entrance to the small apartment complex, but be advised to look for the remarkable red gate. It is locked with an access code we received after completing the booking right before our arrival. The parking spot for our rental car is on the backside of the buildings on a very narrow street, we first didn’t even recognize we were allowed to drive in. Apartment number 5 is on the top floor of the two floors main building on the left. Gay-friendly The Willow became our hideaway for our holiday in Hollywood, California. We booked via booking.com >
The area around The Willow West Hollywood
We are used to exploring a city by bike or simply walk our way through the streets during our gay travels. But American cities have quite some wider dimensions. Almost everywhere we traveled you are dependent on a (rental) car, Uber, or similar car-sharing companies to get around. We got used to it, although it shows how dependent Americans are on their car. However, close by The Willow complex we got our basic groceries at the nearest 7/11 less than 5 minutes away by car. Gas stations, shops, and restaurants are close by as well. You will find a full list of the most important places including addresses and telephone numbers waiting for you in your welcome folder in your apartment at The Willow.
Apartment number 5 of The Willow
Our bright apartment with big windows had a kitchen area with an oven, refrigerator, dishes, cutlery, cleaning utensils, and an eating area with a table and chairs. We could use the washing machine of The Willow outside the official cleaning opening hours of the apartment service. The cozy sofa area together with the stereo and TV is a nice place to relax and plan your sightseeing tour while having a view of the backyard with palm trees. The bright bathroom has a window and a bath as well as shower gel and shampoo. We loved our sleeping room at gay-friendly The Willow. Two windows made it very bright. Together with the warm brown colored vintage interior is matched our taste just perfect. In the huge wall closet with a second pair of pillows had enough space for our luggage and clothes.
