Gay-friendly Ohboy Bike Hotel in Malmö, Sweden | Review

Gay couple hotel review of the gay-friendly Ohboy Bike Hotel in Malmö, Sweden. During our Swedish summer adventure to Malmö, we stayed at the gay-friendly bike hotel in the Western Harbor. Centrally located just around the corner from the Baltic Sea shore, the Ohboy offers loft hotel rooms with complimentary bikes and enough space to relax, cook, eat, and work. The 2-star hotel was the first gay-friendly accommodation of our 10-day trip to Malmö and Southern Sweden, Skåne, and is an innovative example of Scandinavian design and efficiency in construction and smart living solutions. Enjoy our photos, story, and tips. We are convinced that we can inspire you to book a stay at the gay-friendly Ohboy Bike Hotel in the Western Harbor in Malmö with our Couple of Men gay couple hotel review.

Review of the Ohboy Bike Hotel in Malmö

We stayed at loft room 12, located on the first floor (like all the other loft rooms), with a convenient parking spot for our complimentary rental bikes. The apartment has two floors. The lower level had a comfortable double bed, a small working space, and a bathroom with a shower. The hotel makers installed a hammock, a corner booth, and a fully functioning and equipped kitchen (refrigerator, induction hob plate, microwave) on the upper floor. We liked to prepare our breakfast and dinner. Organic coffee and tea were part of the amenities. We especially liked the compact yet functional overall build of the Ohboy Bike Hotel in Malmö and the circumstance that we, thanks to our bikes, could be in the city center or at the beach after just 5 to 10 biking minutes.

Traveling to gay-friendly Malmö

A Sweden adventure in summer – simply irresistible. Especially with a gay-friendly touch. We spent four days in Malmö finding the architectural highlights by boat and bike, eat delicious Scandinavian-infused vegan food, and attended the rainbow-colored LGBTQ+ festival Malmö Pride.

Exploring the South Swedish City of Malmö

Malmö, the third-biggest city of Sweden, after Stockholm and Gothenburg, is the cultural center of the Southern Swedish county Skåne. Especially in the past couple of years, after the world-famous Öresund Bridge was built and Malmö University opened its gates, Malmö became more and more attractive to investors and young professionals from all over the world. We arrived by plane at Copenhagen Airport and took the train over the Öresund Bridge to Malmö Central Station. Due to the close connection to the Baltic Sea, the best way to see some of Malmö’s highlights, like the lighthouses, the typical Scania buildings, and parks, and, of course, the rough but beautiful shoreline is by bike and by boat during a self-guided boat tour.

Gay Travel Guide Sweden

After a wonderful time in Malmö, we boarded our rental car for a 5-days road trip along the South Swedish coast to Mölle, Helsingborg, and Kivik. Stunning Swedish nature, unforgettable sunsets over the Baltic Sea, and some wonderful unique gay couple stories. Did we mention our clothing-optional gay beach?
