Sycamore The Mineral Springs Resort in San Luis Obispo, California

The Sycamore Mineral Springs Resort San Luis Obispo is a gay-friendly 4-star resort for a shortstop during a road trip along with the Pacific Highway number one or just for a not only Gay Couple Wellness Trip to San Luis Obispo or Avila Beach. Already since the late 19th century, the resort is a popular retreat for people looking for rest and relaxation halfway between San Francisco and Los Angeles in the United States of America.

The apartment complex is divided into several buildings nestled into the natural surroundings of the San Luis Obispo Creek. Before we continued our tour from San Fran to L. A. the next morning, we took some time to explore the natural surroundings with a long hike uphill into the forest and wellness add on visiting enjoying a private bath hour in the outside spa. Enjoy our hotel review and photos of the Gay-friendly Sycamore Mineral Springs Resort in San Luis Obispo through a couple of men‘s eyes.

Sycamore Mineral Springs Resort – West Meadows Spa Suite

We arrived late at night at Sycamore Mineral Springs Resort coming from Santa Cruz. But still, the check-in was easy since we pre-booked our stay via booking.com. Our room on the first floor (top floor) was a very spacious West Meadows Spa Suite with a private whirlpool on the balcony. The suite was newly renovated and had a huge bedroom, a living room with a kitchen corner (water cooker, sink, and fridge), a bathroom with a spacious shower, and a separate toilet. The huge King Size bed was very comfortable to sleep in.

The private Wellness area at Mineral Springs Resort

The next morning, before we packed our bags to drive to Santa Barbara, we took the chance of an early Jet lag – wake up a went on a hike. The forest starts literally behind the resort with various hiking routes. Ask at the reception for a map of the surroundings. They are also very helpful concerning bike rental. Although we had a very dense morning mist hanging over the mountains, hiking up in the clouds was beautiful, even though we could only hear the environment. With good weather conditions, you should be able to have a great view over San Luis Obispo Bay. Being back in the resort, we took a relaxing bath in the pool and private (naked) Wellness area. A great moment for some sexy men photos.

Breakfast at Avila Beach, California

After our relaxing bath and a shower, we packed our stuff and checked out the Sycamore Mineral Springs Resort & Spa. Only a 5-minute drive away from the Resort, we enjoyed a great breakfast at the Custom House at Avila Beach, California with a beach view and live music.

Relaxing stop for a night or a whole Weekend

Although it was only for one night, our short Gay Couple Wellness Trip Sycamore Mineral Springs Resort & Spa was a perfect second night on our road trip to the South-Western USA. For your orientation, please plan at least 4 to 6 hours by car for the distance Santa Cruz to Sycamore Mineral Springs Resort in San Luis Obispo. Better a bit more, since you will stop during your road trip along the coast. Santa Barbara is only around 2 hours away.

Happy New Year (2 Jan 2023) I'm Kevin I'm in Northern CA (Mountain View) and was looking around via the internet of Gay resorts in CA. I ran across your website and so I'm checking it out for possibly a future stay, if I have to travel to Southern CA by chance, that would be a good halfway stop to stay for the night.
