Gay Travel Guide Stockholm – The Open City: Our trip to the so-called capital of Scandinavia is undoubtedly one of the best city trips we made so far together as gay couple travel bloggers. Referring to the Gay Travel Index 2018, Sweden is, together with Canada, the gay-friendliest country in the world. To proof, how gay-friendly the Swedish capital and the country of Sweden really are, Stockholm together with Gothenburg will be the hosting cities of the Euro Pride 2018. The diverse, inclusive and welcoming LGBT community offers a variety of LGBT events like Gay Pride throughout the whole year including some great gay bars like Secret Garden, regularly organized gay parties like King Kong and LGBT-friendly restaurants, cafés and hotels.
Together with the rainbow family of Stockholm LGBT, we spent a loooong weekend in the heart of Stockholm testing two different hotels, multiple restaurants, LGBT events, visiting several museums like the Vasa Museum, the ABBA Museum (obviously) and the Royal Palace, screaming in the roller coasters of the city’s theme park Gröna Lund and celebrating together with the people of Stockholm the Walpurgis Night (Swedish: Valborgsmässoafton). You are welcome anyhow, just as you are – this is just one slogan of Stockholm.
If you have any questions about your plans traveling to Stockholm, follow us and send us an email or drop us a line on Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, and Instagram. See you around the world and the next time in Sweden!
