A Gay Winter Road Trip to the Canadian Rocky Mountains
Our first time in Canada and it will be not in summer! We are happy to visit the North American Country Canada in the year of its 150th anniversary of existing as an independent state. Therefore, we will do a Winter Road Trip starting from Calgary all the way up north to Jasper. During the trip, we will explore the Rocky Mountains around Banff with a stay at the world-famous Fairmont Banff Springs Castle Hotel, skiing in Lake Louise, and Emerald Lake. And of course, we will be able to test some of the best powder snow ski areas in the world like Marmot Basin, Sunshine Village and Lake Louise (also known as the Ski Big 3). The goal of our Canadian Journey is Jasper in the province of Alberta for its 8th Jasper Pride Festival in 2017. We cannot wait to see the famous mountain town in Jasper National Park covered in snow. And, of course, to wave our rainbow flags during the colorful Jasper Pride Festival and the Ski Pride Parade on the slopes of the ski resort of Marmot Basin. Prepare yourself for a lot of travel photos, information about gay life in Calgary and the towns of the East part of the Canadian Rockies. Don’t forget to let us know if you are participating in the Winter Gay Pride in Jasper! Let’s meet for some Canadian beer at Jasper’s Bear-themed party Lum-bear-jack Party and the Ice Pride Walk over the frozen Maligne River at Maligne Canyon. Join us on our Winter Trip to the Canadian Rocky Mountains.
