Gay Travel Guides

You might remember our first trip last summer where we attended Malmö Pride and toured around the Southern part of Sweden, Scania. This year, we are going back to see even more of Malmö especially the preparations for World Pride 2021 together with Copenhagen. Well, out of this idea developed a plan to see more of central Europe. The idea for a staycation 2020 was born. After our road trip to Sweden, we will make our way over the Baltic Sea to Germany by ferry in order to start our one-month road “Best of LGBTQ+ Germany”. Join us on our

A Dutch Island Vlieland Autumn Weekend – What to do on a rainy autumn weekend in the Netherlands in Northern Europe? This question is good to answer with a weekend escape to the Watten Sea at the north coast of the Netherlands to enjoy a Dutch Island Vlieland Autumn Weekend just 1,5 hours north of the Dutch capital Amsterdam. But do you know how to get to Vlieland with a ferry, what to do on Vlieland in autumn and what if it starts raining? And, of course, not to forget to mention the friendly and

Tips and highlights for a gay city weekend in New York City during World Pride 2019, the biggest gay pride event ever to commemorate the Stonewall Riots in 1969. A Weekend in New York City – We must admit that this has been on our gay travel to-do list for a long time. But there is hardly a better year to plan a visit to New York than the anniversary year of the LGBTQ+ community’s first uprisings at the Stonewall Inn on Christopher Street. And so we follow in the footsteps of LGBTQ+ activists around the city of New York,

Our Top Highlights Best Photos Gay Couple Travel Vietnam – a diary of our first trip together outside Europe to Asia. As tourists of the world before we started to write our gay couple travel blog, we had an exciting time in Vietnam. The country with history charged traditions starting as a part of the Chinese Empire, the French colonization, the Japanese occupation, and the two-states solution often ended up in a war inside Vietnam or with its international neighbors and allies. After the well-known Vietnam War between North and South Vietnam by involving the United States of America

Karl's spiritual backpack trip to India - You have to come prepared to India, a country full of contrasts and unexpected surprises. The South Asian country that is considered to be the 7th largest country in the world by area, is a melting pot of cultural heritage, religious influences of Hinduism, Islam, Catholicism, as well as smaller percentages of Buddhism, various indigenous ethnically-bound faiths and a developing modern society of over 1.2 billion people.

Here in our home country the Netherlands, also known as the world’s largest exporter of flowers, it is time to visit the Garden of Europe Keukenhof, to see the beauty of nature with tulips, crocuses, hyacinths, and all the other colorful flowers. This Mid-April weekend it was finally

Our Gay Couple Travel Hamburg Germany – The Hanseatic city in the Northern part of Germany was high on our gay travel’s bucket list already for a while. And so we were happy to take the opportunity to visit Hamburg for three days in early summer. Exploring the main port city of Germany was a comforting journey through the old parts like Warehouse District and the gay (friendly) neighborhood St. Georg. And don’t forget our Pyjama Park Hotel stay at one of the most crowded party streets of Hamburg, the Reeperbahn.
