Gay Travel Guides

Tips and Highlights of our gay travel to Cape Town’s south side. From the city center of Cape Town, we made our way to the Cape Peninsula exploring False Bay. Our base for the second part of our Gay Travels to Cape Town was one of the most luxurious and gay-friendliest guesthouses we have ever visited. Located in St James, Cape Town overlooking False Bay, we visited Muizenberg with its white beach and colored beach hats, Kalk Bay with some great restaurants and shops and started our trips south.

Tips and Highlights of our 4-days Gay Travels to Cape Town in South Africa. Our first trip together to the African continent brought us first to South Africa, specifically to its capital city Cape Town, the so-called Mother City. In order to experience as much as possible from the metropole in the Western Cape county, we split our trip into two parts. We spent our first days in the heart of Cape Town staying in a gay-friendly hotel in Green Point.

Gay Summer Adventure Skåne – Road Trip South Sweden. The Scandinavian country Sweden is a dream destination for us. Why? Well, it offers everything we need for a perfect vacation from beautiful nature, stunning views to a broad variety of organic and locally sourced cuisine. We got super excited about the offer to join forces with the National Tourism Board of Skåne, also known as Scania, to show you the gay-friendly side of Southern Sweden. And by writing that, we are most definitely not exaggerating.

A journal of our 4-day Gay City Trip to Malmö during Pride Weekend. Did we already mention, that we love Sweden? The Scandinavian country is one of our favorite European gay travel destinations that is currently ranking on the top position of this year’s Gay Travel Index 2019 together with Canada. But besides this encouraging data, we experienced an ongoing welcoming and LGBTQ+ friendly environment be it in the bigger cities of Stockholm or Malmö or in the countryside of the South Swedish county Skåne.

The hidden gem for the sophisticated lesbian, gay and queer travelers in Illinois. A hidden gem in the United States of America? Yes, there is! Even some of our friends living in the USA contacted us after we published our first photos and stories about our trip to Galena asking: Where is Galena and why are you traveling there? Well, the US American state of Illinois isn’t only about Route 66, Springfield or Chicago, it also is home to Galena which is the largest city of Jo Daviess County, Illinois with a strong connection to the Mississippi River and only

Gay Chicago – City Guide to Pride and the Gay Neighborhoods. We have finally visited the world-famous city of wind in the American Mid West, Chicago. Especially for Karl a dream came true when we were standing at the shore of the Chicago River surrounded by incredibly impressive skyscrapers and another top of the top architectural highlights of the third biggest city of the USA. Suitably during pride month, we as gay couple travel bloggers were invited to attend Gay Pride in Chicago, the Pride Park Festival and explore the gay neighborhoods of the city, Boystown and Andersonville.

A Gay Couple City Weekend Barcelona, the place to be in Europe’s warm South along the Mediterranean Sea. A vibrant city in Spain full of historical treasures like the Casa Milà (La Pedrera), a lively beach atmosphere, the red cable car cabins and a cultural life with museums, opera, and theater. We spent a long gay couple city weekend in the home of Gaudí in summer time exploring Mediterranean cuisine, spectacular views, and unexpected free open-air opera highlights. We didn’t even try to see all of the city since even a long weekend trip is not enough to see all

New York doesn’t end with New York City’s borders. During our trip to the Big Apple prior World Pride 2019, we traveled north to the heart of New York State, the Mid-Hudson Valley region. Although we have been overwhelmed with a welcoming environment, a calmness and gay-friendliness, we have asked ourselves, how can we introduce to you the heart of New York State the best? Because, you know, New York is New York, right? Well, not quite…

Tips and highlights for a gay city weekend in New York City during World Pride 2019, the biggest gay pride event ever to commemorate the Stonewall Riots in 1969. A Weekend in New York City – We must admit that this has been on our gay travel to-do list for a long time. But there is hardly a better year to plan a visit to New York than the anniversary year of the LGBTQ+ community’s first uprisings at the Stonewall Inn on Christopher Street. And so we follow in the footsteps of LGBTQ+ activists around the city of New York,

Our Salzburg Gay Couple City Trip to The Sound of Music, Mozart and Conchita Wurst – Wait, Conchita who? Well, let us start with the beginning. In the wonderful warm month of June, we traveled to the world-famous Austrian city of Salzburg in the northeastern part of the Alpine country. The city, known for its fortress named Fortress Hohensalzburg, came to fame internationally by being the movie location for the American musical drama “The Sound of Music” with Julie Andrews. But of course, the success story of the music city of Salzburg, Austria started already centuries ago having the climax
