Already for 25 years, the biggest Dutch LGBTQ+ film festival is inviting the LGBTQ+ community to see the best, the most popular, and the newest LGBTQ+ movies, shorts, and documentaries. To make sure, you won’t miss any of the great movies, shorts, and films from Germany to Vietnam, from Cyprus to Greece, or from the USA to Sweden, we teamed up with festival director Werner Borkes to select some of the best movies about gay men, love, families and different generations from around the world.

The organizers decided for the 2021 edition, to turn the queer film festival into an online version. That means: Start planning your queer home cinema nights in March! The opening movie of the Amsterdam LGBTQ+ Film Festival will be available for streaming on 11th March 2021. The LGBTQ+ film nights will continue for 11 days in total until 21st March 2021. Like the other editions in the past year, the festival will be screening feature movies, documentaries, and short movies coming from many countries.

Love, our world needs more love. For us, Valentine’s Day on February 14th is the best day to remember how important it is to show your love to the people you hold most dear. It is about love for another human being and to accept, to respect and to embrace its uniqueness. We are happy to share some of our gay love moments from our travels with you on a day that is made for love, romance and time together. If you don’t have a present for your girlfriend, boyfriend or simply the person you love, just give him or

Amsterdam Frozen Canals: Our best photos and video of Amsterdam’s frozen canals with ice-skaters on the Keizersgracht and Prinsengracht. – Our home city Amsterdam is one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Stunning old buildings along the canals, biker friendly for locals and tourists and, especially during really cold winter days, a winter wonderland for photographers and ice skaters. Ice skaters? Yes, you read correctly. The Netherlands is a country full of rivers, canals, lakes, and any other kind of waterways. Traditionally, the best way to use them during the cold winters in the past was to go

GERMANY: Often forgotten, the victims of Nazi Germany also include gay men marked with the Pink Triangle. It is now believed that between 5,000 to 15,000 gay men were sent to concentration camps of whom 3,000 to 10,000 met their deaths as part of the Holocaust. Sarah had the chance to talk to Dr. Alexander Zinn, historian as well as a sociologist from Germany, talking about the LGBTQ+ group of victims of the Holocaust for the International Holocaust Remembrance Day 2021. The article and the interview are part of our queer history series on Couple of Men.

SWEDEN: Is there a gay sauna in Malmö, you might ask? Not exactly. Although many of the local gays consider the Ribersborgs Kallbadhus is THE gay hotspot of the Swedish city – to see and to be seen, and maybe even more, of course. With the monthly event “Queer Kallis”, the traditional house from the late 19th century is finally opening up to the whole LGBTQ+ community, including trans and non-binary sauna fans.

NETHERLANDS: Gay men enjoy a significant amount of social acceptance and freedom in the capital city of the Netherlands – but it has come at the loss of many places and institutions that used to give this city its distinctive gay edges. Nevertheless, there are many places in Amsterdam that still embody the original spirit of the 80s and 90s, and offer experiences that are unique to Amsterdam as a destination. Meeting guys in Amsterdam isn’t hard – but in some places, it’s easier than in others, especially when you’re trying to get laid.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! The time of year has come, when love, peace, and togetherness are defining our days together with family, friends and each other. Next to all the presents and arrangements, time is the most valuable gift we can give to each other. Once a year, we all have that in common. We try to time for Christmas. This year was fascinating, spectacular and full of love. We would like to thank each and everyone of you for your support, likes and feedback. We really do appreciate every single word. The last days of the year are

SPAIN: Sitges is a small town about 35km away from Barcelona. It tends to not be on everyone’s radar, which is why mentioning it to the uninitiated usually draws befuddled looks. For many gay men, however, the name Sitges evokes images of sun, sea, and… sex. As one of the gay capitals of Europe, Sitges, located in the south-east of Spain, is one of those rare places where a gay man can feel part of a majority. Whether you like going to the beach, to bars, or just lounge by the pool, you’ll quickly discover the sexual tension hanging in

A Dutch Winter Day Amsterdam Netherlands – The unexpected happened: Finally, after three Winters without almost any snow Amsterdam turned into a winter wonderland. Big snowflakes falling down from the sky covering Dutch bikes, Grachten boats and the beautiful Grachten houses of Amsterdam Jordaan with beautiful white fresh snow. There is nothing better than to jump in our winter clothes, snap the camera and walk through the capital of the Netherlands on a Winter Day in February. We decided to take a walking tour along the Bloemgracht of the Dutch capital towards the famous Westerkerk close by the Anna-Frank House
