[edgtf_dropcaps type=”normal” color=”#3f6557″ background_color=””]A[/edgtf_dropcaps]fter the Spiegel had already noticed our blog ‘Couple of Men’ and published an interview about our work last year, the popular news magazine stern (around 500.000 monthly readers) with its online version stern.de followed this spring with an interview including a 4-minute video about gay-friendly travel tips and our work as German-Dutch Gay Travel Blogger. In her inquiry, the video editor of the weekly magazine classified as a German-language leading medium was particularly interested in our motivations for Couple of Men, tips for gay-friendly travel and the worst experiences so far as an openly-gay traveling gay couple. This makes Stern interview one of the highlights of our work as a gay travel blogger in Germany so far.

Already in the middle of February, an interview request from the video editorial team of the German news magazine stern.de for the video format ‘Neon Lovestorm’ unexpectedly reached us via email. A request that we could not refuse, of course, as the German traditional magazine is considered among journalists to be one of Germany’s leading media. A short correspondence was followed by a video interview in which we answered the stern questions. In a total of nine questions, we explain how we came to our blog Couple of Men, explained about our motivations for the website and our Instagram account and what kind of problems we as gay travel bloggers and other LGBTQ+ travelers still have to face, even in 2019.

Our travel plans in 2019 for Couple of Men
The over 4-minute video interview is impressive, spiced up with photos and video footage of our trips over the past 2.5 years. But this is only the beginning of our intense travel year 2019. Already in April, we will travel to the capital of Gay Pride and the CSD Parades all around the world and explore 50 years of Stonewall in New York City’s 50th anniversary year. Already in May, we travel to South Africa and Namibia on our first adventure together on the African continent. As early as June, the USA is back on our itinerary before we travel to Malmö Pride in southern Sweden in July. Do you have any other tips and highlights that we should not miss for our blog?
