Welcome to the Hard Rock Hotel at Universal Studios in Orlando
The hotel has a Mexican/Spanish theming. From the first step into the Hard Rock Hotel in Orlando, Florida, we arrived in the world of Rock ‘n’ Roll. Huge paintings were hanging above the reception, Rock music was in the air, and we could even take a glimpse of the extensive pool area with palm trees, sand beach and waterslide. During the check in, we were offered to borrow a rock guitar (for a deposit) including ear phones. Of course, we accepted the offer, after all, it’s not every day that we can feel like a true rock legend. The friendly staff behind at the reception checked us in without any problem and explained everything we need to know. And now it was time for us to enjoy our stay at Universal Studios Orlando in Florida!

Orlando is home to two Universal Studios theme parks: Universal Studio and Universal Island of Adventure. Both parks are located directly next to each other. Standard Room & Club Level King Bed Room
We stayed four nights at the Hard Rock Hotel in Orlando, two of them in a Standard Double Queen Bed Room and two nights on the Club Level, the highest floor overlooking the pool area. From up here, we even had a view of some Universal Studios Florida attraction. We loved it. In both our Rock ‘n’ Roll inspired room with a huge mirror (compare your height to all rock legends) was spacious with a comfortable bed, a sitting corner at the window, a desk, a fridge and a spacious bathroom, including a bath. Moreover, staying at the Club Level gave us the access to the Rock Royalty lounge, where we enjoyed additional perks and privileges, like complimentary continental breakfast and snacks throughout the day. Talking about food… Breakfast was included for us, but you can book it separately with your stay. For those who want to know what you can expect: The hotel restaurant The Kitchen on the first floor with its terrace offers an extensive breakfast buffet with cold cuts, freshly baked bread and warm dishes to choose from. Fun & luxury Facilities at Hard Rock Hotel in Orlando
The hotel has a Mexican/Spanish theming with the special feature: the huge hotel pool, which is shaped like a sandy beach. Rock music fans can enjoy a diverse mix of rock music throughout the day either in the hotel, the room or even in the pool area. In line with the music theme, we could also listen to music underwater through a special sound system. And you know… sometimes you just have to take a break in the Florida sun between all your theme park adventures in the Universal Studio Parks in Florida. Good to know: Guests of the hotel can enjoy the “Universal Express Unlimited” pass as part of their stay. You can choose your personal ticket motive. Karl went for E.T. – his favorite childhood hero. And Daan selected the Jurassic Park version. Hold on to your ticket and turn it into your personal guitar pick (also called plectrum) as a souvenir.
