Gay Pride Trips

LGBTQ+ Aktivism Tag

Support LGBT couple operated travel businesses around the world! You might remember our last year’s trip during Pride Month around the United States of America? Among others, we visited the small town Galena in the US-American state Illinois, known to be the second most visited town in Illinois and home to one of the best Main Streets in America. It is also known for its LGBT and gay-friendliness making it to one of the weekend hideaways for the LGBT community. Galena is also the adopted home for gay couple Alex and Geoff Arroyo-Karnish.

In addition to the two genders, male and female, Cambodia’s national language Khmer also knows the third gender kteuy, which describes a person who has the physical characteristics of one gender but the behavior of the other. However, the linguistics here is already much further than the situation for LGBT people in the country. Although a gay pride has been taking place regularly in the capital Phnom Penh since 2003, Prime Minister Hun Sen also made negative headlines because he rejected his lesbian adoptive daughter in 2007.

Gay artwork? Of us? On Instagram? What? Well, let us tell you a short story about our photos on our Instagram account. You know that our goal with our posts on Instagram is to inspire you to travel openly gay around the world while supporting the local LGBTQ+ community. And, of course, we aim to show you our favorite, sometimes private moments when we are just happy to be together one human loving another human being. But sometimes we just get surprised by you…

The fact that there was visibly little budget for the production really didn’t seem to have bothered anyone when the My Best Gay Friends series started on YouTube in 2013. The series reaches millions of views within a very short time. Even though homosexuality was still described as a social evil by a national television broadcaster in 2002, comparable to prostitution and illegal gambling. To understand how the situation for the LGBT community in Vietnam has improved, take a look at the neighboring countries in South East Asia.

It all depends on the throwing technique. Turning around one’s own axis and then throw it out of the shoulder using the whole bodyweight. And then the handbag flies into the loud cheering audience disappearing between the people. Just a few meters away from it a whistle marks the start signal. The participants run towards the finish line more or less safe on spectacularly high heels.

Also this year the visit to Gay Pride Parades and CSD Events all over the world was at the top of our Gay Travel Bucket List. We are proud that we went hand in hand with our rainbow flag to a total of six Gay Pride parades in 2019. From Canada, the USA and Sweden to Amsterdam, we support the LGBTQ + community in their struggle for equality and acceptance and continue the LGBTQ+ history of the numerous lesbian, gay, trans and queer activists.

Lebanon has a reputation in the Middle East for being the most liberal of all countries when it comes to homosexuality, transgender and the LGBTQ + community in general. For example, in 2017, Lebanon was the first country in the Arab world where gay pride events (such as the Beirut Pride) took place. At least 4,000 people took part in it at the time. Already in the years before, various NGOs, such as Proud Lebanon and Helem, organized public LGBTQ + events.

For a long time I’ve been struggling with what’s the best and safest way to share our rainbow family happiness with you and the world. We want to protect our families and of course our children. The main motivation for this article, my outing as a daddy, was the possibility to answer the many questions from family and friends, and to support more rainbow families with the desire to have children. As you can imagine, after a private Facebook post of an ultrasound scan, we received countless messages from friends and family members who either simply came to us curiously

A kiss and a murder. This is how recent events in Russia can be summarized in the LGBTQ+ community. Renowned LGBTQ+ activist Yelena Grigoriyeva was found dead in St. Petersburg in mid-July, with several stab wounds in the chest and signs of strangulation. Previously, Grigoriyeva had received several death threats after her name appeared on a list of a now-blocked website that had hunted down sexual minorities and their supporters.
