Review of a Gay Couple Finnish Design Sauna LÖYLY Helsinki experience – A visit to Finland wouldn’t be perfect without sweating in a Finnish Sauna, at least once. Next to all the public saunas all around the city, in May 2016 Helsinki got a new design-attraction: the “design-sauna-experience” LÖYLY. And of course, we as sauna fans were excited to start our Saturday morning with a 2-hours stop on the peninsula Hernesaari in the southeastern part of Helsinki. This relaxing, gay-friendly hot spot with several saunas like a traditional smoke sauna is completely heated by firewood collected in the woods of Finland. Especially the morning hours at Löyly sauna are less busy and a great way to start a day during a Gay City Weekend Helsinki, in our case, for Helsinki Gay Pride. After all the sweating we cooled down by swimming in the open water of the Gulf of Finland and enjoyed the view over the bay with a good Finnish breakfast from the rooftop terrace. Interesting for us gay travel bloggers is the fact, that Finland has 3,3 million saunas for 5,4 million Fins. Although the need of public saunas is raising as part of the new urban culture, the numbers of public saunas are decreasing. Join us on our Helsinki-Sauna experience and get sweaty in the Finnish design sauna Löyly through a couple of men’s eyes.
A Gay Couple Gay Cruise Stopover Malaga Spain – It is time for Málaga, the Spanish city in the south of Spain. Know as a holiday destination for sun worshipper, we took the chance to make our own opinion about Málaga, the second biggest city of Andalusia. An incredible cultural heritage, a modern new town part in the west and long beaches at the Costa del Sol turned our first La Demence Gay Cruise stopover at the Costa del Sol into a wonderful relaxed time in the sun, although the summer months can be very hot in Málaga like everywhere in Spain, up to 40 degrees Celcius.
Our Gay Couple Diary The Cruise 2017 – It was time to go onboard the Monarch for our second gay cruise with La Demence, the well-known party organizer from Belgium. This year it should be a different route starting from Portugal and the capital Lissabon heading towards the Atlantic Ocean for an exciting island hopping route. Before we started our one-day adventures hand-in-hand as a gay couple on the Atlantic islands of Spain, we spent the first day on our cruise ship, the MONARCH, meeting all our friend from last year again and get to know the first-timers from all over the world.
AUSTRIA: The recently named “Destination of the Year 2018” by the Australian LGBTI Awards was already for a while now very high on our gay travel bucket list, especially after traveling to other parts of the Alpine state before. And what could be a better reason, besides pride, to travel to Vienna than the annual AIDS Charity event Life Ball? Exactly! Lucky us, we were invited to attend the 25th edition of Life Ball 2018 and to stay at the 5-star hotel Le Méridien Vienna located in the first district right on the so-called Ringstrasse. We as a gay couple travelers couple of men couldn’t have asked for a better gay-friendly place to stay as the Design Hotel was hosting hotel of the Life Ball event just a stone-throw away from all major sights of Vienna and, of course, close by the Vienna City Hall. Join us on our city trip to Vienna in early summer right before Gay Pride and find out why you should book your stay for EuroPride 2019 in Vienna at the gay-friendly luxury hotel Le Méridien Vienna.
