The basement of the Schouwburg (Theater) was transformed into a dark room fully equipped with everyday items and objects to create an environment alike blind people are experiencing our visible world, day by day. You can choose between different environments and get more information about being blind and how to live a life without the sense of viewing.

The mostly blind guides are taking small groups of visitors equipped with a blind man’s stick into their dark world beside sunshine and light. Together with our guide Marko we were able to experience how helpless we are when losing one of our major sense and how sensitive the other senses has to become. Following the sound of the surroundings and the voice of our guide – ironically this experience is a true eye opener.
