NETHERLANDS: The story of lesbian couple Diana and Roksana from Poland, who left their home country to get married in the UK and to live a life in peace and love in the Netherlands.
Do you still remember MySpace? Well, for some of today’s longterm relationships it was the place to meet likeminded people long before dating apps and even Facebook. It also was the place where the lovely girls from ‘What Wegan did next’ meet each other many years ago. Whitney, a lovely girl from the US-State Kentucky, and Megan from the United Kingdom are a lesbian couple and LGBT entrepreneurs living together with their cute little dogs in Windsor, the UK.
NETHERLANDS: It was in summer 2018 during our trip to Berlin for Gay Pride when we first met Roxanne and Maartje, lesbian couple bloggers from the Netherlands.
Our 5 Top Lesbian Films Filmfest Homochrom 2018 in the German cities Cologne and Dortmund. It’s autumn, that means it‘s cinema time again in Germany! “Couple of Men” had a nice talk with festival director Martin Wolkner about the programme of the 8th Filmfest homochrom in Cologne and Dortmund. It has quickly become the second-largest among a very active crowd of two dozens of queer film festivals in Germany. (Then again Cologne is still the homo capital of Germany, isn’t it?) But the Filmfest homochrom has also been one of the up-and-coming festivals to look for rare film discoveries and surprises. The biggest one yet might be that admission to all films is free this year. So grab your friends and head to the cinema. There’s no good reason to not see the whole festival, but if you have a good excuse and need to choose just a couple, you might like our suggestions. So we wanted to know which of the 2018 selection are the best, sexiest or most dramatic movies showcasing love between two women or girls. Which are the unmissable films of 2018?
Restaurant Cantinetta Wine & Pasta in Amsterdam West – This amazing place is very special to us. Let us tell you a short story about “our” favorite restaurant Cantinetta Wine & Pasta in Amsterdam West (very gay-friendly). During Karl’s first time visiting Daan over the weekend three years ago, we went together to the, back then, recently opened restaurant Cantinetta Wine & Pasta in Amsterdam West. The food was (still is) amazing and with its “Berlin sense of style” it felt for Karl a bit like home. Talking to the owners, the lesbian couple Debb and Claudia, made this first time eating at Cantinetta like a cozy family dinner. Since then, already 3 years passed by and we are coming here regularly to meet our “girlfriends” and spoil our tummies.
