Awesome News: We are thrilled to announce, that we will go to Canada again next winter! This time we as Gay Couple Travel Bloggers will attend the 26th edition of LGBTQ+ Whistler Pride & Ski Festival 2018 in British Columbia, which is considered to be one of the biggest and best Gay Ski Weeks worldwide. Last year we already had a great time exploring the East side of the Canadian Rocky Mountains in Alberta driving along the Icefield’s Parkway starting from Calgary all the way up to Jasper joining the Gay Ski Week Jasper Pride. But now it is time to go West for our Gay Ski Week Canada Whistler Pride Travel 2018!

In January 2018, we will fly with Delta Airlines to visit Vancouver, B.C. showing you around Tourism Vancouver’s 17-days Dine Out™ Vancouver Festival, Canada’s largest annual food and drink festival with over 200 participating restaurants and more than 30 events. After three days in Vancouver, we will take the shuttle to Blackcomb Glacier Provincial Park and the ski resort Whistler Blackcomb with is famous Peak 2 Peak Gondola connecting Whistler Mountain (2.182 m) and Blackcomb Peak (2.440 m). Gay Ski Week Canada Whistler Pride Travel 2018

Our main focus of the trip to Canada’s West is the 26th edition of the Whistler Pride & Ski Festival 2018 celebrating being out on the slopes of North America’s No. 1 Ski Resort Whistler Blackcomb from January 21st till the 28th. Together with winter sports fans from the international LGBTQ+ community, we will kick off the Canadian gay pride season 2018, leaving a big snowy footprint for a more inclusive and safer world. The program of the gay ski week is packed, including a pool party, the snowball, a night of comedy, a Sip & Dip at the Scandinave Spa, a snow adventure, the rainbow parade on the slopes and in the ski village Whistler and of course, a variety of (Après ski) parties in Whistler Pride’s Official Gay Bar “the CABN”. International stars like The Cube Guys from Italy will make one of the biggest Gay Ski Weeks in the world a must-do on (y)our Canada travel bucket list next Winter.

Program & Tips for your Whistler Ski Pride 2018

Sunday – Jan 21, 2018: Welcome-Reception from 4 pm – 8 pm

The CABN is welcoming festival goers to help kick off the week with their enchanting wine reception! This evening is specially hosted by your Whistler Pride Ski and Snowboard Guides. Stay tuned for more information about the Welcome Reception on Gaywhistler.com.

Monday – Jan 22, 2017: Après Ski & Cards Against Humanity

Après Ski Monday (3 pm to 6 pm) is the first of the daily Après Skis invades the CABN, the festival’s official lounge, and social space. It is just a short walk from the Whistler lifts and the hotels. After a dinner break its time for Cards Against Humanity @ The CABN – Aava Whistler Hotel: Laughter, profanities, and audible gasps will permeate the CABN when Actor/Comedian RYAN STEELE hosts a raucous group game of Cards Against Humanity® “a party game for horrible people”! With new friends to be made, prizes to be won and Finlandia cocktail specials to be savored, the night promises to become a fun event for everyone.

Tuesday – Jan 23, 2017: Charity Ski Race @ Blackcomb Mountain

Show us your sweet skiing or boarding moves (10:30 to 11:30 am) as you zoom down the GMC Race Course on Blackcomb to help raise money for this extra special charity Safe n Sound Squamish. Safe n Sound’s mission is “To celebrate and honor lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, queer + citizens, their families, and allies, through awareness, education, visibility, and resources.” Racers make a donation – $5 recommended (cash only) No race experience necessary Skiers or snowboarders Grand Prize Winner is determined by coming closest to guessing your time. There will be a 1st, 2nd, 3rd place winners. There will also be a prize for fastest and slowest racers. You will not be able to see times, but there will be a time reference You can run as many times as you would like.

Wednesday – Jan 24, 2017: Night of Comedy @ WCC

Let’s get fit of laughter during Night of Comedy (7:30 to 10:30 pm) at Whistler Conference Center. The Special Guest of the night is not a surprise anymore. Exciting! LGBT icon and stand up comedian Margaret Cho will be the guest of the Night of Comedy 2018. Get prepared for fits of laughter and for sure the funniest night of Gay Ski Week Canada Whistler Pride Travel 2018. The night includes the presentation of the official Pride Festival declaration by honorable Nancy Wilhelm-Morden.

Thursday – Jan 25, 2017: Splash Pool Party @ MPSC

Let’s get soaking wet (from 10 pm to 2 am) @ Meadow Park Sports Center (MPSC)! DJ Rafael Calvente turns up the heat at the annual Whistler Pride festival Pool Party at SPLASH! Tip: Grab the free shuttle leaving from the Aava Hotel starting at 9:30 pm every 30 minutes. And don’t forget to bring your OWN Towel & Swimsuit. Clothes check & lockers will be available on site. The Cash bar will be sponsored by Finlandia Vodka.

Friday – Jan 26, 2017: Furrocious @ WCC

Join us for the (fetish) party of the year in Whistler: Furrocious – Military Ball powered by SCRUFF from 10 pm to 2 am! Who doesn’t love a man in uniform! Here is your chance to party-it-up, and get down, in your favorite uniform whether it’s army, police, leather or sports kit. As one of the pride week’s most popular events, Furrrocious is featuring this year the incredible talents of globally recognized DJ GSP.

Saturday – January 27, 2017: Snowball26 @ WCC

THE CUBE GUYS of Sleeping Giant Music (from Italy) return to the main event of Whistler Pride & Ski Festival for an encore performance at Snowball26 (10 pm to 4 pm). Mega sounds, mesmerizing visuals, all in a massive space, tricked out and teched to impress! The Cube Guys have recently broken the World’s Top 10 House Producers on BeatStats and continue to climb the charts.

Januar 22, 24 & 26, 2018: Whistler Ski Guiding

Join us on Whistler Mountain for a morning of skiing and riding at North America’s largest mountain. Join the Whistler Pride Ski Guides as you are placed into similar skiing or riding ability groups. The guides along with your ski group will explore the wonders of Whistler Mountain. This is a fantastic way to meet new friends from all around the world while you are able to ski or ride in a safe environment in Whistler. Meet by 9:45 am at the top of Whistler Mountain near the light board in front of the Peak 2 Peak gondola. The Whistler Pride Ski Guides will help place you into a group of similar ability skiers and riders. The ski/snowboard groups will leave promptly at 10 am. Lunch starts at 11:45 am at the Roundhouse Lodge – Glacier View Room.

January 23, 25 & 27, 2017: Blackcomb Ski Guiding

Join us on Blackcomb Mountain for a morning of skiing and riding at North America’s largest mountain. Join the Whistler Pride Ski Guides as you are placed into similar skiing or riding ability groups. The guides along with your ski group will explore the excitement of Blackcomb Mountain. This is a fantastic way to meet new friends from all around the world while you are able to ski or ride in a safe environment. Meet by 9:45 am at the bottom of the Jersey Cream Chair / Glacier Express in front of the Glacier Creek Lodge on Blackcomb Mountain. The Whistler Pride Ski Guides will help place you into a group of similar ability skiers and riders. The ski/snowboard groups will leave promptly at 10 am. Lunch starts at 11:45 am at the Glacier Creek Lodge – Mezzanine (upper level).
