Gay Pride Trips

April 2020

Karl's spiritual backpack trip to India - You have to come prepared to India, a country full of contrasts and unexpected surprises. The South Asian country that is considered to be the 7th largest country in the world by area, is a melting pot of cultural heritage, religious influences of Hinduism, Islam, Catholicism, as well as smaller percentages of Buddhism, various indigenous ethnically-bound faiths and a developing modern society of over 1.2 billion people.

Plan your gay travels for Amsterdam Canal Gay Pride Program Highlights Tips with coupleofmen.com! – It is time to prepare for the colorful gay pride parade in Amsterdam the year after Euro Pride under this year’s motto ‘This Is My Pride’ and this is your Pride! The canal parade as the highlight of the annually LGBTQ+ Pride Celebrations is well known all around the world for its extravagant dressed canal boats, spectacular glitter-dance performances, and a special gay-friendly cultural Pride program. Although the parade is the highlight of Amsterdam Pride, there are far more events and celebrations planned in 2019.

The story of Chris and Gus brings us back to the US, this time to the east coast, to Florida to be more precise. But this isn’t actually the beginning of their story together. Coming from the formerly isolated country of Cuba, the gay couple knows what it means when “traveling makes you free”. Similar to Karl’s home country, former East Germany, going to wherever you want to was a privilege, that not all citizens of the GDR nor Cuba were able to enjoy. But times have changed and Chris and Gus moved together away from the Caribbean island nation

Support LGBT couple operated travel businesses around the world! It was in summer 2018 during our trip to Berlin for Gay Pride when we first met Roxanne and Maartje from the Netherlands. Until then, we’ve not heard from them yet. Today, the lesbian couple is one of the top-notch lesbian storytellers of the international LGBT travel and content creator community. We just love their photos and videos. And we are happy and proud to count them to our best friends.

Support LGBT couple operated travel businesses around the world! You might remember our last year’s trip during Pride Month around the United States of America? Among others, we visited the small town Galena in the US-American state Illinois, known to be the second most visited town in Illinois and home to one of the best Main Streets in America. It is also known for its LGBT and gay-friendliness making it to one of the weekend hideaways for the LGBT community. Galena is also the adopted home for gay couple Alex and Geoff Arroyo-Karnish.

And here it is: The Spartacus Gay Travel Index 2020! The year 2020 started with a huge worldwide challenge named Corona impacting not only our daily lives at home but also the travel industry specifically. Nevertheless, the German publisher of gay travel information and guide books, Spartacus, released today its annual Gay Travel Index with a detailed ranking of 202 (+5 countries) countries worldwide and their LGBTQ+ and gay-friendliness. The 8th edition by the Berlin-based publisher gives lesbian, gay, trans and queer travelers information about how gay-friendly a country and, therefore, a holiday destination is according to several ranking factors

Is this all real? What happened to the colorful, lively, and gay travel plans for 2020? How far ahead can we actually plan for the rest of the year? Or are we all just actors in one of those movies about end-time scenarios where we all will turn into zombies and will start taking over the world? No. We are living in a new reality facing a global threat, a microscopical one. It is April, still in the year 2020, and people all around the world have to adjust to a, for many of us, totally unknown situation. From one

Karl’s gay travels to Kathmandu, Nepal in 2008 before the earthquake – Yes, it is already quite a while ago since I was backpacking in India and Nepal. But the fascinating country in the Himalayas left a deep mark in my memories being so different, lovely and disturbing at the same time. When I was packing my backpack for my trip to India for a month, I was always having one eye on the mystically country in the highest mountain range in the world. Correctly, as I was experiencing it firsthand, not only while I was flying around the

Keukenhof Tulip Blossom Holland - Our Day in the “Garden of Europe”. Winter time in Holland is over, Spring has finally arrived in The Netherlands and most parts of Western Europe. Birds start singing early in the morning, the days are getting longer, and the early flowering plants and trees start blossoming. Here in our home country the Netherlands, also known as the world’s largest exporter of flowers, it is time to visit the Garden of Europe Keukenhof, to see the beauty of nature with tulips, crocuses, hyacinths, and all the other colorful flowers. This Mid-April weekend it was finally
